INSIDE OUT
As the credits roll, Inside Out will not only leave you dabbing tears off your checks, but more importantly thinking back fondly on your own childhood — or, if you're a parent, wanting to keep your kids young for as long as possible. The incredible storyline, musical cues and visual accomplishments has the studio bidding for consideration in both the Best Animated Feature and Best Picture categories. Only three animated films have been nominated in the coveted Best Picture category - Beauty and the Beast, Up and Toy Story 3. While no animated film has yet to win the Best Picture Oscar - could this be the year that animation reins supreme?
THE GOOD DINOSAUR
Bidding for Best Animated Feature contention, The Good Dinosaur is also vying for numerous other categories including Best Cinematography and Best Art Direction - see below image for the complete list of categories.
SANJAY'S SUPER TEAM
Earlier this week (Nov. 19), the Academy announced the Oscar Shortlist for Best Animated Short, which includes Pixar's, Sanjay's Super Team. The full list of contending artists and divisions for the short will be released soon. In past Academy Award ceremonies Pixar has had 11 Animated Short Film nominations and 3 wins (Tin Toy, Geri's Game and For The Birds). Could Pixar make Oscar history winning Best Picture, Best Animated Feature and Best Animated Short? Share your thoughts with other Pixar fans in the Pixar Post Forum.
