Merida from Ralph Breaks the Internet
Late this evening, Disney released a sneak peek from Ralph Breaks the Internet, which, for the first time, allowed us to get a glimpse of Merida from Brave speaking. Until this evening, you only could catch Merida in the background of prior trailers, so we were thrilled to see her as more of a focus in this teaser.

We also couldn't help but chuckle at the themed pajamas all of the Princesses wore — Merida's overshirt is her Clan DunBroch tartan and her T-shirt has an image of her Mum (the Queen) as a bear.

Several folks have commented on YouTube that they aren't sure what Merida says, which obviously plays into the Scottish accent gag that they're going for here. (This scene first premiered at the 2017 D23 Expo.)

Trying to translate Kelly Macdonald's exaggerated accent for Merida, we have — "I gave my Mommy a cake, she turned into a big bear — my own Dad tried to do her in — If that's not a pure mess, I don't know what is." The second sentence is where we're not feeling as confident — what are your thoughts?

The main reason for the teaser being released today was that earlier this morning it was announced that Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) would be voicing a new character in the film named, Shank. Did you also notice Bill Hader (the slug and referee from Monsters U, Fear from Inside Out and more) voicing another character? He hands Vanellope the advertisement and says, "Want to get rich playing video games?"

The official synopsis is below.
Ralph Breaks the Internet leaves Litwak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and thrilling world of the internet—which may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking. Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) must risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush. In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet—the Netizens—to help navigate their way, including Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of the trend-making site “BuzzzTube,” and Shank (voice of Gal Gadot), a tough-as-nails driver from a gritty online auto-racing game called Slaughter Race. Directed by Rich Moore (Zootopia, Wreck-It Ralph) and Phil Johnston (co-writer Wreck-It Ralph, Zootopia, writer, Cedar Rapids), and produced by Clark Spencer (Zootopia, Wreck-It Ralph, Bolt, Lilo & Stitch), Ralph Breaks the Internet hits theaters on Nov. 21, 2018.
