Disney announced last week that an all-new immersive Pixar experience, Pixar Play Zone, will be available for children at Disney's Contemporary Resort, and today, additional details and concept art have been released. The Pixar Play Zone will be available nightly starting April 13, reservations can be made today and the experience will be available for kids ages 4-12, allowing kids to play, while their parents enjoy a night out in the Walt Disney World Resort.
The Pixar Play Zone features three themed rooms, in Bonnie's Play Room, kids will find a variety of toys to play with in this adorable playroom setting. Wandering around the corner, the Living Room will be the focal point for all the action in the Pixar Play Zone. Here kids will attend Space Ranger Training where a Space Ranger will teach kids what it takes to become a Jr. Space Ranger of Star Command, including how to identify enemies, like Zurg! Woody and Jessie will teach kids the ways of the Wild West during Woody's Roundup — complete with a rousing sing-along. The third themed room will be the Radiator Springs Racetrack where kids will be able to build their own racecars and then race them down a soapbox derby track for Piston Cup Derby Races. As the night comes to an end, Mr. and Mrs. Incredible will take the stage for an "Incredible" dance party, teaching the kids some superhero dance moves.
The Pixar Play Zone will be available nightly for kids, ages 4-12, doors for check-in will open at 5 PM. The welcome desk, includes a stop at the Monsters, Inc. handwashing station, then to Boo's Closet Door (where youngsters will be able to store their belongings). The event programming will run from 6-10:30 PM, the cost per child is $65 (plus tax), in addition to all the fun, the evening includes arcade games, dinner and dessert. Children must be fully toilet-trained. Parents will be required to be physically present to check children in and out of the experience.
