Pixar Pier to Open June 23, New 'Incredibles' Float to Join the Paint the Night Parade & More Details From 2018 D23 Expo Japan

Today at the 2018 D23 Expo Japan additional details surrounding many new attractions and events headed to Disney parks were revealed. We're thrilled to pass along some new looks at Pixar Pier and a new Incredibles-themed float joining the Paint the Night parade.

Although we previously knew that Toy Story Land at Shanghai Disney Resort was set to open in April, Disney World and Disneyland guests were wondering when the Pixar-themed events would be opening near them as well — and now we know.


APRIL 13 — Pixar Fest officially launches at Disney California Adventure and includes the popular Paint the Night Parade - note that the new Incredibles-themed float (shown above) will be joining the parade in June.

APRIL 22 — The previously announced “Explorers Meet UP! A Great Bird Adventure" show at Animal Kingdom (Disney World) featuring Dug and Russell from Up will make its debut.

JUNE 23 — Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure (Disneyland) is set to open on June 23, along with the newly revamped Incredicoaster (announced back in November). A sneak-peek at the Pixar Pier Marquee is shown as the lead image in this post.
