Toy Story That Time Forgot, the 22-minute special that premiered on television December 2, 2014 is now available on digital, DVD and Blu-ray. REVIEW

As we watched the Blu-ray version of Toy Story That Time Forgot (22 minute feature and about 32 minutes of extras) we were blown away with the details and crispness of the animation. Having previously watched our saved DVR version of the film from its television premiere, viewing it in High Definition was like viewing it for the first time again. All this extra detail helped us notice new easter eggs (and hidden references/assets) and small details throughout the film — for instance, Bonnie's "played-with" toys (Trixie's scuffed up horns) compared with the "untouched look" of the Battlesaurs, everything added to the details surrounding the story.

Speaking of easter eggs, during our recent conversation with director Steve Purcell we learned that the three stylized posters behind Mason in the video game room represent upcoming Pixar films - Coco, Inside Out and Cars 3. Beyond the film itself there is an easter egg within the Blu-ray menu - just highlight the Reptillus! bonus feature and click the RIGHT arrow on your remote twice and you'll notice the eye on Reptillus's apartment light up. This easter egg features Rex and Buzz toolkit animations as they run from the Battlesaurs (with two additional pieces of concept art) — for even more hidden references be sure to check our Toy Story That Time Forgot in-depth easter egg post.

As we dove into the treasure trove of bonus features on the Toy Story That Time Forgot Blu-ray we were thrilled with the amount of behind-the-scenes footage that was showcased. Our favorite bonus feature, Reptillus!, highlighted the backstory of the Battlesaurs which included a delightful explanation of Reptillus' origins by head of story, Derek Thompson.
