The popular ABC television show Once Upon A Time will be adding a feisty new character to the line-up as Merida will be making her live-action debut. The fairy tale drama (which premiered in 2011) has been a hit with audiences as appearances from classic princesses such as Snow White to Frozen's Anna and Elsa have transported viewers into a world of fantasy. Officially announced at this year's San Diego Comic Con, Scottish actress Amy Manson will transform into the boisterous princess complete with her ringlets of wild red hair and mischievous spirit. With the announcement, ABC released a teaser trailer showcasing Merida's archery skills in the live-action world.
It is uncertain how large of a role Merida will play in the upcoming season, which is set to premiere September 27, but we are sure to set our DVRs to watch Pixar's first live-action portrayal. Thanks to our reader Aidan for the tip.
